O Christmas Tree, O Christmas Tree, will you ever feckin go away?

Anyone else still got their tree up??

Kids throw a tantrum any time I suggest taking it down, was like this last year, stupid thing was up till April. I'm also not allowed to turn the lights off so all our neighbours think we're nuts.

Obviously this your finest Asda LED plastic tree that never dies should have stuck with the real ones, that will teach me for being cheap.

Looks a bit scraggy now after all the dog and robot hoover attacks. Although the girls did decorate it, you can tell can't you...

If they want it so badly, put it in their bedroom

All our decorations are down by twelfth night, having a mildly superstitious wife makes it easier to set that deadline. It's still usually four or five days later than the neighbours, and it includes outside lights so we're often still imitating Blackpool illuminations long after everyone else has got started on their miserable January.

Ah! Youth of today - I blame it on poor potty training & a lack of moral fibre!

C'mon man - stand up for yourself, tell them you're the man of the house & therefore control everything (I always find that goes down well!) & insist the tree is removed immediately or they'll have to pay the next electric bill (they probably won't suss that the contribution of the xmas lights is virtually nothing!)

Good luck!

I no longer run Furore Products or Furore Cars Ltd, but would still highly recommend them for Acewell dashes, projector headlights, dominator headlights, indicators, mirrors etc, best prices in the UK! Take a look at http://www.furoreproducts.co.uk/ or find more parts on Ebay, user names furoreltd & furoreproducts, discounts available for LCB users.
Don't forget Stainless Steel Braided brake hoses, made to your exact requirements in any of around 16 colours. http://shop.ebay.co.uk/furoreproducts/m.html?_dmd=1&_ipg=50&_sop=12&_rdc=1

Mr Whippy..............

I had this same issue when my kids were younger.
Waited til they went to school for the day and down it came, packed away under the stairs for next Christmas.

I cheated, I have a conical holly tree at the front of my house, put lights in that, turn them on Christmas-eve, great, but come twelfth night, turn them off. remove lights at my leisure later

I'm with you - my choice would be not to bother, but the family desire it so out it comes each year!

I had to give in to outside house lights this past Christamas as well
