Rear Uprights

Anyone got some nice pics (or even better drawings) of rear uprights they have made for their midis...looking for inspiration ......

My solution was not very elegant but it works in the interim. I used ford fiesta front ourights which I discovered had exactly the same splines as the Renault UN1 driveshafts making the box installation easy.

Check out the Sylva Riot site for details how to mod the uprights.

The advantage of the Renault driveshafts are they are hollow - hence dead strong and light .

Here's mine, before final welding. The centre is cut out of the front uprights from the Audi that donated the transaxle and drive shafts.

Here you can see the parts and the tube that self jigs the lower bushes in line with each other and the side walls vertical

Single seater uprights are a good option and pretty cheap!
