R1 Trickshifter new blipper position......

If you have an R1 downshifter fitted to an injection R1, there is now a mod for this.
The original position for this was on the "auto choke" but it is now relocated on the throttle spindle.
For this, you will need to contact trickshifter who exchanged mine for the modded one. To fit you will need to detach the throttle bodies as the work is all underneath the throttle spindle.

From experience, what is the best place to take off the vacuum for the controller?
I am planning mounting the controller on the engine to keep the pipes short.

We have taken our vacuum pickup points from the balance point on the one of the TB's.

Tests on the dyno seemed to work ok, but due to a dropped valve I've not had chance to test on the track as yet.

Once you get it running be carefull not to wind the adjuster on the strain rod out too much as the litlle metal tabs which press the switches drop accross and bend causing it not to work if you go too far. It's a b*gger to rebuild too.

Cheers for the info.
I am a long way off testing it myself!

nitram,

Is there any advantage to using the blipper in this position.

I know its tight to get it into the idle adjust screw position but it does seem to work ok.

It won't work on the 04/06 5VY engines in the original place.
