SPA Mirrors - anyone used them?
Hi
Has anyone used SPA mirrors on their car?

yes i fitted them after sva,would fail on radius and 1mm short on size,field of view good.look in my archive.sva'd the car with bike mirrors

yes.
field of vision with formula side mirrors with flat glass is crap when stationary, and non existant when moving due to vibraton.
the bigger side mirrors with convex glass give a much better view, but don't look nearly as good.
the centre mirror with convex glass is absolutely amazing though. well worth the money, and yes, i know it's bloody expensive!
that's based on my experience of my and avoneer's mirrors btw.

I used their GT mirrors (or was it their saloon model) which are slightly larger and give much better visibility.
Mine passed SVA with no problem although it does depend on the tester.

Yep - as per Indykid - I have Jon Isons old centre and large side ones and they are awesome.
I would pay the money for new ones, especially the centre mirror.

I fitted the formula flat glass units and they were crap. I removed them within hours...
Maybe the curved glass ones, or the saloon ones are better eh?

yes you need the convex ones for field of view with short stalks if you can.Mine are perfect,would like the centre mirror as well but then i would
like a lot of things....apparently

Hi it has to be the convex glass ones to be of any use atall.
But to be honest for you aplication Tim i would just fit a large centre mirrror Convex type and forget the side ones.
Available from GPR. You can always add the side ones if you feel you need them after.

just ordered the formula gt sides yesterday! I thought they would be good a sturdy unlike my current cheapies which vibrate like mad.

My sides are convex GT/Le-Mans - big feckers but great.
The centre one is the convex black pastic one - I wouldn't hesitate to buy another of these.
