Mondeo AC help needed - Don't want to blow myself up
OK, I've bought a DIY A/C regassing kit. All looks very straight forward, except I need to connect it to the low pressure side of the system
rather than the high pressure side (according to the destructions, large explosions occur if I get it wrong ). The haynes manual clearly shows which
connector is which, but for the mondeo 4 cylinder models only. I have the V6 and it's seems significantly different for me to want to double
check. The pic below shows the two connectors:
Description
I think it's the one on the right (near the battery) as this is connected to what I think is the accumulator/dehydrator, but I can't be
sure? I'm not really too clued up about A/C.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Bill

if you take the caps of the connectors they should be different sizes hence the regas hose will only fit one of them

There's a few different places - see my original thread:

I ended up buying this:

Quite expensive in the short term, but I now have it for the future. Still have one of the cans spare as well.
