engine trouble?
Hi all
Blue-ish smoke coming from the cam/rockercover on my ZX12(venting
hose to catchtank)at medium-high revs not on idle.
-crankventilation = blocked off
-drysump system installed
what migh be the problem?
i might have overrevved the engine a bit during a testdrive., not sure.
anybody got a clue?
thanks

You cant over rev with a rev limiter, I have a dry sump installed and I have connected the crank breather and rocker breather together at the tank.

Dry sump should provide negative pressure in the sump so you should not see anything venting at all if everything is working properly.
Sounds like tired or stuck rings creating excessive crankcase pressue to me, was it sitting about for a long time ?
