Wiring Enclosure
I am stripping the original Sierra loom to fit onto my seven. I want to do it right from the start and not attract any crap from the SVA man when the
time comes.
What do I need to wrap the loom in? There is a load of different stuff on the VWP website and I'm not sure which to use

Is this the best place to get the stuff from or can anyone recommend where to get it from?

Used the split conduit myself as I thought it would be easier to fit cables inside . One tip when installing single cables into conduit , use a nozzle
from a mastic tube , feed the cable through and insert thin end into conduit , run nozzle along split feeding the wire in. Same idea when fitting loom
using tool from computer shop

Have you thought of wrapping your loom using the correct wiring loom tape. This makes an absolutely professional job, just like the mainstream

As far as SVA goes, they dont care what you wrap it in, as long as it is wrapped. The main thing that they will look for is that the wiring is
properly supported/clipped/secured. What they can't see they tend not to care about, "ie" if you panel the underside of your dash so
that the wiring is not visible in that area then it will be fine. I failed on just one wire that was not wrapped, (plus a few other things,  ), ,
going from the starter motor to the fan relay, not sure what difference it made on just one wire, but there you go. HTH, Ray

interesintg *** - I thought just insulation tape was a no-no.
you can get self amalgamating tape - on mine I have split convoluted tubing, insualtion tape and spiral wrap in different parts and none of that
raised a comment providing it is supported, which is wasn;t to the SVA mans's satisfaction.
