doesn't look like it to me. Wshbones and nosecone aren't MK and front arches don't look like MK either.
Could be an MK locost though as they have/do made/make Locost parts as well.
Are you looking at purchase?

Yes indeed, at 9750euro it's not much !! (= £6630)
But I want doors and a hood and I need to find what it is so I can start looking for parts.
Tha Ad says it's a Lotus 7 Gibbons, but when 'googling' I found the previous owner (I think because the car looks the same, colour,
holes, ... everything) and he's talking about MK Indy.
I too found differences between this car and an Indy...
My max budget to spend is 10000 euro, so this would be THE one to buy...

Looking closer at the front wishbones, the top ones look like MK style ones, but the lower ones look like book locost style. Without some pics of the
chassis it's difficult to say really.
looks a fairly tidy car though.

I believe that it was built by Chris Gibbons who frequented this site as Locodude. Look his user up in the Member List as there is an email address.
Send him an email and ask.
I don't think it's an MK Indy though... the cockpit side rails are perpendicular to the ground... MK ones are angle down at the back are
they not?

Top wishbones are not current MK Indy ones as they point down where the ball joint fixes on.
Bottom ones are not MK either - ball joint securing plate is nothing like.
Roll bar is much less square than my indy one too.

Make sure it hasnt got a plastic fuel tank!
Beware if it has! Your fuel economy might not be so great!
Im sure the rest of the car is fine though.

Yup it's the ex tangerine dream!!
Previously owned by Chris Gibbons. It's a book Locost using original MK wishbones (pre Indy). It probably has a plastic tank, but the early ones
were fine (I've got one). Started life as a crossflow, converted to ZX9 power and then sold. Very well built car - Chris did a stint building
Indys for MK.
There will be lots of textured plastic aroud the cabin 'cos that's what Chris did for a living.

Look out...if it's a pre 1997 zx9r engine, they have a very weak gearbox, the E engines, i believe from 2001 are alot better

plastic tanks
Dont want to appear thick , but why do pastic tanks kill fuel economy , i have a plastic one and i have always thought it was a bit thirsty for a
standard engine.

Sadly PTM (plastic tank man) was making them to order, he was sold a bad batch of plastic welding rods that leaked after a while hense the bad fuel
economy

I'm not bying this one. The seller does not have any information about the car and I think it's selling it because there are some
problems with the car. He sounded wierd on the phone...

perpendicular side rails....
Mmm....Possibly an unanswerable question... but ...
Does the perpendicular side rail defo mean its not Indy? or just an early one (2001)? or have I miss read?
The side/rear profile of mine look the same - minus the Bonnet scoop - (excuse the blurry phone pic from last year, with crap on the lense)

It's definitely NOT an Indy, as has been said before. I watched Chris weld it up on his drive.

Yep, I recognise it too as the Tangerine Dream. It's been in Holland for quite a while now (my guess is two years).
Jochen, if your interested; my car is also for sale (passed SVA yesterday). I need the funds and space for a new project....

Sorry - I was hijacking the post there (& here).
I was more querying the shape of mine - as to whether it (currently nameless - though I have been refering to her as "the create" as of
late! ) is a "true" Indy? if she's just an early one and obviously the design has altered/developed since? or if shes more a
"book" locost than "Indy" locost (if that makes sense!)
Difficult for anyone to tell from a blurry side photo I know!

Er...Just read my last post & it didn't even make much sense to me!!!!
My query is, Ive bought a kit car that s'posed to be an early Indy
I then start wondering what exacly mine is, when I read posts that say Indy's dont have level cockpit sides......
And I then also wonder, out of interest, how much change has their design had since they started.
It doesn't really matter to me what she is, she's still my Indy - (Ahhh )
but - If I were to sell her tomorrow, would it have a bearing as to how she's advertised?
"MK indy"
"Mk indy (early)"
"Indy based locost" (ie more Indy Kit than generic kit)
or
"Locost based Indy" (ie more generic kit, than Indy Kit)
A "full" MK Indy kit car would be of more value than just an Indy based car.
(Gets complicated when you've a Kit (indy), based on a book(champion), based on a car (lotus 7) etc...
... I'll get me coat.... dont think any of that's any clearer!
