talk to me about rear view mirrors
I am not convinced my the rear view mirror I have fitted in gonna pass SVA plus there is a split in the placcy back so the ball is no longer a tight
fit; best piccy I can find is below (it looks like a Cobra type mirror so it may be too narrow).
Are mirrors e-marked in anyway?
What (donor) mirrors have people used?
It needs to me bolted in the same way and have the right amount of adjustment - most car mirrors are hung updside down to the ones we use.
thanks.

That looks rhe same mirror as I used, passed SVA no problem - except for the base which wasn't radiused. You're running a wind deflector
which covers this, so I wouldn't worry.

AFAIK a centre mirror is not actually a requirement for sva, as you say scuttle mounted ones are fairly useless anyway, unless mounted on a foot long
stalk.
main problem i had was getting the side mirrors to adjust high enough to pass. although it looks like yours are mounted higher anyway, and should be
ok.

An interior mirror must be fitted, it's the nearside mirror that is not strictly needed. The only way you can get around not having a centre
mirror is if having one would provide no rear view, beacuse of a bulkhead for example.
