Engine Fitting - Best Advice?
I'm about to make my mounts up for my Velocity XT and Zetec build..
Now, is it best to bolt the engine to the gearbox and then engine crane in - whilst I measure up the mounts?
Or,
Do I put the gearbox in, then bolt engine to it and then measure up?
Any advice greatly appreciated - I have the Diff and propshaft fitted as well...
Cheers

I’m up early with the anticipation of doing mine today
I will lift the chassis 1" from the floor with scrap rhs then crane the engine and box in, in one go.
Scratch built mine so can't comment on prop as I don't have mine yet. but I would say fit it....

Danozeman,
The second mount in your pics looks very interesting - my original idea was to bolt to the four holes in a square block - but it looks like yours has
been adapted to suit the holes nearer the middle...
Does that help both mounts line up in the middle? As I was worried about my mount design as the exhaust side seemed too far forward?
Cheers,
