Best position for Pinto sump baffle
Hi guys,
Anyone any suggestions as to the best place for a 1" high baffle to stop corner surge?
Maybe a round one around the pickup or one diagonally across?
Cheers,
Pat...

The oil will tend to flow over either type, and it will flow away from the pickup pipe as easily as towards it if you think about it.
You want a horizontal baffle that "traps" the oil beneath it, keeping it near the pickup at all times. Dave Vizard's type of baffle
was a horizontal plate across the deep part of the sump with various drain holes in it swaged dowwwnwatrs.
No goog, to much cidre tttto type rite gnite.

So would it be best to weld in a vertical (with a couple of notches in the bottom edge of it) as in pic D and then a flat plate over the deep part
(with a few holes drilled in it)?
