Smiths Oil Pressure Gauge. Black/chrome

I'm in need of a Smiths oil pressure gauge, (mechanical) black face & chrome bezel. 0 to 100psi.

I had just finished fitting and calibrating the speedo when I looked at the oil gauge and it was reading 110,
normally reads about 60. When I switched off it slowly dropped to 80 and stopped there.

Cash awaits if anyone has one.

Thanks
Paul G

Speedy cables make new ones if you can't get hold of one.

Duratec Engine is fitted, MS2 Extra V3 is assembled and tested, engine running, car now built. IVA passed 26/02/2016

Yes, that's plan B.

It was a new CAI speedo that I was fitting, bought for me as a birthday prezzy 2 years ago.
I believe they now are the manufactures of Smiths gauges.
Possibly a link between them and Speedy Cables, or perhaps coincidence that they are both based in Wales.

I'm trying to avoid buying a new one, only to be told that, "I've got one of them in my shed somewhere."

Cheers

As long as it's not the electrical type that needs a sender, and it's 100psi. (some read 60 max)

Price? ( u2u )

I feel such a fool. (blush)

OK. I admit it. I'm a complete nitwat .

I was finishing off the scuttle area, the last bit to polish, and the connecting up the last of the wiring. Not my strongpoint.

Three of my gauges had no illumination, the bulbs & holders missing completely, so I bought some.
The holders to fit Smiths didn't come with bulbs (eBay) so I bought a pack of bulbs separately. (eBay again)
Wired up to the side lights and they all worked. (miracle)

Wheeled the car out to set up the speedo, 68.5 inches X bla bla bla. Punch in the numbers and fire up the Lotus
for a test run. Honestly officer it rolled down my drive; best go to the farm junction and turn round.

This is when I noticed the oil pressure reading 105psi and the needle resting on the stop.

Took it out this morning. It was still reading 80. Undone the knurled nut, slid it out of the dash, slid out the bulb holder….

and it dropped to ZERO. Pushed it back in and it went back up. The new bulb is bigger and touches the mechanism.

Smaller bulb holder & bulb from a warning light I had handy and all's well, apart from feeling a right twit.

Thanks to all
