Shocks on Live Axle Fury Close to Chassis
I've recently taken the rear suspension out of my live axle Fury to clean up the arms and replace the metalastic bushes. After putting it all
back together I had the chassis on stands and the axle hanging down but noticed the top of the springs were making contact with the chassis. With the
weight on the axle there's about 2 mm of clearance. Is that going to be enough? How can I get around this? I'm fairly sure this is
what's causing a creaking sound when I jump in the car.

I'd get that top collet in the lathe and turn a big 45° chamfer on there. Job done.

Just file a couple of mm of the top retainers

I'd do as Mike suggests. The alternative is to try some different shocks that might have more clearance or swap to 1.9" shocks/springs.

I'll give it a go on my lathe. I just need to remember where I put it...
