Westfield SEIW Chrome Yellow Nose Cone

I have a SEIW slightly damaged (depends n your interpretation of slightly I guess) chrome yellow nose cone for sale. It has had a life and the GRP base layer had to be repaired by me to hide it from the wife. The success of the repair was such that when it was on the car you could hardly notice any damage. It has however still some crazing where the indicator pods mounted. This cone COULD be repaired to almost perfect if you put in the time. I am looking for offers. I have a crate that a new nose cone was shipped from Westfield. If I don't get a good offer I will repair the gel coat myself and I will be asking considerably more money. Gell Coat repairs are fairly easy and some good posts are on this forum on how to do it. If I get any interest I will post extensive images.

The problem is gel coat cracks on yellow don't show up on pictures very well

This is the gel coat damage area blown up as best I can.

The hair cracks are on both sides radiating from the edge.

The dark patch is the grp repair with coloured resin not gel coat. The gel coat would have to be applied on top of that after sanding.

There was damage underneath where the fixing point is but that has been well reinforced and repaired but the gel coat is missing here also in a small area. I don't have a picture of that yet for some reason.

I can supply a small quantity of matching gel coat repair (the stuff Westfield supply at £10/tin) but possibly not enough for all the repairs. Maybe if you are ultra frugal perhaps.

Lets put it this way I need to enquire exactly how much the carriage is depends on your post code? I could spend the best part of a day of my time fixing the gel coat and it might be worth a £100. If you save me a days work what is that worth? I would guess £50:00 + postage would be fair price. If less than that I guess the dump awaits!

Looks like I am going to dump it. The transport box has been dumped by my son-in-law and it is just too expensive to make another. The postage would be £20 and the plywood another £18 so it is just not worth the effort of making the box. I will advertise it locally on Gumtree and see what happens. Sorry, unless you want to pick it up from EH49?
