Fuel line advice

I think iv got all the electrics sorted but wont know till i get some fuel in it.

The only way i can see being able to get them to the transmission tunnel is to run the fuel line above the ECU.

Looks good so long as you put a prop catcher in, chances are with that torque and a hot dry road you could easy snap one. Though I think the fuel line should be more along this stuff

I notice your airflow meter is sticking outside the car, that’s going to be a funny looking bonnet, does the air filter and intake hose fit behind the radiator easily?

not possible to move ecu into passenger footwell?

never the best layout having fuel above electrics, not doubt why you are asking,.

No, the battery is taking up most of the space there.

one of my old BMWs had the fuel line pass above the starter motor. the fuel line once started leaking lots didn't cause any problems though. i think it will be fine

not possible to to fit smaller battery then? but then you still have the same problem of fule over electrics (battery).

don't you have a shelf before he scuttle for the ecu? or under the scuttle?

or fit ecu in waterproof/fuelproof box?

^^^ trawl around Land Rover sites for ideas - flooding the ECU is a common occurence. I'll bet there is a locost solution too.

Ya may wanna check is petrol is one of those chemicals.

Could you not get the ECU nice and safe and dry inside the scuttle?

Then run the fuel line straight down from the engine and go along the lower chassis rails and along the lower rail of the prop tunnel.

You can put the battery inside the passenger footwell, or above the passenger footwell in front of the scuttle on the 'shelf'.

This was my initial idea but there is not enough room at the bottom next to the gearbox.

Didn't think ecu's liked getting hot. Would it not be better away from the exhaust ??

As this is in the EFI section I am assuming fuel injection. If a 50psi fuel line fractures I don't think the fuel will fall down (unlike with carbs). It will spray everywhere with near inevitable consequences. The priority must be to keep the fuel in the hose!

Good idea to cover the ECU if you have it in the engine bay. I've seen them in water tight plastic boxes to protect them.

Just my thoughts though.
