High Level Brake Light recommendations please
I am after a high level brake light to fit to rear of roll bar, for safety reasons, nothing to big or bulky.
Does anyone have any recomendations?
Anyone used this one? It's certainly locost.

Why do they call Port Harcourt "The Garden City"?...... Becauase they can't spell Stramash.

how would you mount it? would it be a case of just taping it to the role bar? could you not mount it at the top of the boot tub? that way you could at
least hide the wiring as well or are you looking to purposely mount it on the role bar?

that CBS one looks pretty good actually! self adhesive too. would then just be a case of taping the wires down if the car is already SVA's, or
track car only, otherwise you'd need to protect the cabling

don't write OT on a new thread title, you're creating the topic, everything you write is very much ON topic!

I think the roll bar mounting will be best as it's higher than top of back panel, so the driver two cars behind might see it.
Also my roll bar is pre-drilled with some holes in the mounting plate to allow for hidden wiring.
How does this £8 one mount to the roll bar?

I have the other LED one from CBS.

Easy to bolt to the roll bar, drilled a couple of holes, fitted rivnuts et voila.
The only tricky bit was getting the cable through the middle of the roll bar out the other end.

How waterproof are these ?
As some of us do drive in the rain, unlike those F1 types.

I've got one of these
(off Ebay for about £6)
no problems so far despite quite a few thorough soakings... I mounted it onto the top of the rear panel just behind the seats as I didn't fancy
drilling the roll bar....

Looks a bit exposed to me? Might be nice cast into an epoxy body. Lot of work though. I'd use something like this:

For two quid more I bet this'll go the distance when you're thowing water and dirt at it.

I have one off a Rover of some sorts, was going to fit it to a home made housing, and seal it in.
Don't have the depth needed for the Clio one,as I looked at the Kia one the same style.

I too have been looking at one i can mount on the roll bar after IVA.
I have been looking at every high level i see in the yard at work, most have washer jet built in, but seen one on a Peugeot Bipper Saturday, thats
small ish, with no makers logo and no rear washer.
Looked up the price and its about £8, but not sure what type of wiring connectors it will need, and can only assume it clips into the door, as did not
open the door to look.
