Indy Blade Fired up first time!

Fired indy up today for the first time with a big thankyou to Hellfire as they lent me there exhaust manifold so i didn't shread my ear drums!

Filled the tank, turned the key the fuel pump primed and i pressed the start button and wow!! She was alive!

What a feeling, cant wait now, everyone at MK this morning said that its a buzz and it sure is!

Only problem was it threw of the top hose out of the engine that might of been due to the fact that i didn't push it on far enough but, its all sorted now.

Doesn't seem to want to idle it decides it does then it doesn't needs setting up i think, any ideas??

Mike

well done mate great feeling ay !

was that using the Beautiful "Engine Start"

theres idle screws on the engine if its carbs etc

these may need setting theres lots of little things that can be adjusted
that may have moved slightly over time

you might have alittle bit of crap in the pilot jets ,or dirt in the float bowls ,drain your float bowls then then try istarting it ,if that doesnt work take air filter off , take off plug caps ,put your arm over the carb tops ,hold the throttle flat out and press the starter for 10 seconds, this might suck up any little bits of crap thats stuck in the pilot jet . see if that works,it should be ticking over at around 1100-1200

Cheers Phil,

Will be working on it again today, get it to tick over then will start the panel fitting!

Think its just the idle control that needs adjusting, but we will see!

Thanks Again Mike
