Just got back from a few days at the Nurburgring. Thought I'd share it.
Had a great time, stayed at sliders guest house, which was pretty good. Basic but there was loads of banter.
I took the elise which seemed to be ok for the track. The track was very intimidating and I had a bit of a 'moment' on the first lap where I
locked up and nearly stuffed it!
The rest of the laps were awesome, getting faster with each tour. I think the car of choice for me would be a 911 GT3 RS, loads of thise passed me!
I'd like to go again when the Indy is built.
It took 7 hours 55 mins including chunnel and stops to get back.
Awesome fun.
did you pre book into the guest house or just turn up.....
regards
TimR
Off there in 3 weeks. Taking my mates 3.2 TT (I know), and hopefully hiring something else 'exotic'!

No, we haven't met, thats the difference between being a good stalker and a bad stalker
(seriously, Mark rang me when you guys were there, and I got a few screen grabs off the ring's webcam, Mark has the photo, he'll e-mail you
it)
cool
You lucky so and so!
Its an experience isnt it!
We're off again on 26th July for 4 nights camping in the mountains (hope its good weather!)
We're taking my 528i which Im quite looking forward to really. It aint gonna be challenging for record lap times but Im looking for smooth laps
with the time coming down each time, fingers crossed!
Am halfway through the eibach / bilstein suspension mods to try and take the edge of the wallowyness and at least make it slighty more entertaining
out on the ring!
Any times for us?
