Do Q plate cars still not need hazards?

As the title thanks. I've got indicators but no sign of hazards working. Will it fail on that? There's no labelled switch.

no, they are tested as 1971 cars

" Vehicles having a Q plate registration when presented for MOT are to be treated as follows:
-for emission purposes only, they are to be considered as first used before 1 August 1975
-for all other testing purposes, they are to be considered as being first used on 1 January 1971"

EDIT to add,
if fitted they should work, so perhaps re-label any switch as something else 'ejector switch' is a good option.

(I note the original poster says he has no labeled switch, just info for others reading the post in the future :-)

1971 cars don't need brake warning dashboard lights.
but again if you have a low fluid light or differential pressure warning - it should work.

hey in 1971, single circuit brakes were normal, no float/level sensor, and the reservoirs were cast aluminum, so couldn't even see the level without taking it's cap off. (and that's after you had opened the bonnet)

yep all fine, but, you, have to accept 'the danger'
