Ah well, just been out for a walk with the missus. Parked in the car park, paid the usual fee using the Ringgo app, then walked away. Came back an
hour later to see a parking ticket on the windscreen.
Then I realised - I'd replaced my old car with a new one on Friday, but used the default payment screen on my app to pay the fee - which showed
the previous car's registration number.
I thought about appealing, but realised that it was entirely my mistake...
Blast...
If its a council car park, might be worth a call? If private, you're screwed lol
you could possibly contest it, saying the system is too complex, but to be honest its not worth the stress, just pay and move on.
my sister did get a refund many years ago, when the system said you could register any number of vehicles, but it transpired only the latest would be
used
.
Call them and explain (council or private) nothing to lose IMHO.
Some understand, some don't.
I've done similar, with SWMBOs car registered on the apps (I don't currently drive). Paid for her car to park when I meant to pay for a
friends. Fortunately got away with it. Only realised afterwards.

This happened to me. I appealed. Accepted within 7 days as it was a genuine mistake. They can be kind!
