Following on from my previous posting about a potential scam for a Freelander 2 on Gumtree.
I responded to an advert on Autotrader regarding a Discovery 3 - it would appear no 'for sale' site is safe now.
Apologies for the language - frustration and beer have got the better of me.
Please read from the bottom up.
Clare or whatever your real name actually is.
Shall I make this easy for you ?
You are a lying, cheating, scamming c**t !
Do you really think the people of England are that bleeping stupid - you c**t.
Go and ply your vile scamming trade in a nation less intelligent than ours to fall for your deceitful, dishonest actions. You fool no one - try
working for a living - go on - get a job, pay tax - you might feel slightly better about your miserable life.
If you would like to meet in person regarding this email - name the time and the place - I'll be waiting for you.
C**t

Hi Clare
I thought you said it was covered by Autotrader - there has been no mention of eBay.
Could you enlighten me please.
Regards.

Hi
The car is in Munich, Germany.
Let me explain how the transaction would work out ;
The transaction will be fully under eBay surveillance, giving us both security and insurance that nothing will go wrong. They will be the 3rd,
objective party involved in the transaction. They will hold the money until you receive and inspect it. Once your payment is confirmed, the shipping
will be started in 24 hours, and will last 5-7 days until it gets to your address. You will have 5 days for inspection from the moment the vehicle
arrives at your address. If it is not like I have described it eBay will refund your payment in maximum 3 working days and the vehicle will be
returned at my expense.
This way I know that you have the money and you have time to inspect it before committing to buy, knowing that I don't have access to the money.
We are both covered.
If you are still interested just send me your full name and full shipping address. I will forward your info to eBay and they will notify you about our
deal. Like this you'll be able to talk directly with them and ask all you want to know.
Waiting your answer today if it's possible !
Thank you
Clare

exterior look great, no smoker, no mechanical problems, accident free, Hpi clear, full service history, 2 months Tax, 4 months MOT, 48200 miles.
> The price is £10,000 includes delivery to your location. I am letting it go because I've moved to Germany and I cannot use it here, I need a
left hand drive car. The vehicle is currently in custody of a shipping company with all the papers necessary to sell, ready to be delivered to its
new owner. I will only sell it through eBay Motors because they will handle the payment in a way in which both of us are secure. If you are interested
contact me back.

And it's happened again !
I responded to another advert on Gumtree - got a reply and then received this
"Hi there,
You replied to the ad "LAND ROVER DISCOVERY 3 TDV6 2005 (Ad ref 1038288145)" on Saturday 09/11. It has been flagged/reported that the user
who posted that ad may be involved in suspicious activity and/or in breaching the Gumtree Terms of Use. We are investigating this matter, but want you
to be safe in the meantime. If you are still in contact with the user, we recommend that you consider the advice below:
If you have not shared any personal information with this user, you don't need to do anything. Your email address is protected by Gumtree and
they won't be able to contact you.
If you have sent any personal information to this user, like your bank details or date of birth, you could be at risk. Follow our safety advice.
If you have sent an item or money to this user please contact us on safety@gumtree.com "
There must be some genuine people on there - I sold my people carrier on there no problem.
I'll get one, one day.
£10k for a low mileage 2008SE......it's obviously a scam.
I wouldn't waste my time e-mailing them
Mmm - it wasn't a 2008 the one responded to - have you got a link ? I'll have a look, it wasn't £10k either

You could tempt me with some pics although probably a bit beyond budget
Here you go. If I sold it my Mrs would kill me! She'd have nothing to pull her horses with!!
