rpm gauge

hi all is there a a normal coulour code chart for tacho's?

i have one which has 5wires:
red
green
blue
black
yellow

i think that red is lamp
green i think is earth
and do not know the rest?

at a guess

red - live
black - earth
Green - wire to dizzy
yellow - may be the gauge light

stumped at blue...

open it up and have a look

colours for my Eliot tacho

red - 12 V
black - 0 V
blue - lamp
green - coil

what make is your gauge? (from wire colours hasto be after market one)

the make is yazaki

it goes up to 80000rpm should do my pinto.Lol

What are you putting it on, a gas turbine?!

Red is definitely illumination, green is ground, those are clear from the pic. Others I can only guess at I'm afraid.

no just a 1.6 pinto with bike carbs, is it a bit much?

the red line is adjutable.

what are the guess?

is there any way of finding out?

Whats it from?
The wiring diagram from the donor would tell all.
