Evening, I've got hold of a blackbird pump but want to use with different throttle bodies that don't have a return line (GSXR), it looks like it has a built in regulator and a return line, however, I wouldn't have thought a retun line was needed unless the regulator was on the fuel rail... can anyone shed any light?

Quick sanity check - this was off an injected 'bird?

Can have a look at my mate's bird tomorrow if that'll help..

As far as I know all fuel bike fuel injection systems use a return line from the fuel pressure regulator on the end of the fuel rail.

On the Blackbird the fuel pressure line is the banjo fitting on the bottom of the pump and the return line is the short tube. This connects to the little hose in the pump assembly which puts the returned fuel down through what looks like stainless steel swarf (This is supposed to be there, do not remove it!)

I'm sure that the fuel rail on your system will have a fuel pressure regulator.

Had a nosy around my mate's bike today. Pump seems to be well buried inside the bike, though so not easy to get at to see how connected up.

Does anyone still have links to the pdf bike workshop manuals that were posted a while back?
