Re-setup of suspension etc
richardh - 30/4/09 at 06:40 PM

Finally got around to checking the setup now the car is a year old. Everything was way off from when it went through SVA.

Camber was off on all 4 wheels
tyre pressures all over the place
corner weight and cross weight was a little off too.

2 hours later and hey presto i'm all camber, toe'd, front/rear/left/right and cross weighted with me in the car.

it's 472kg total with half a tank of fuel and a quaife reverse. Forgot it was that light.

drove much better too............
still think a screen might be more usable for my driving as not keen on using a lid every time i go out.

my front wings had loosened and rubbed on the tyres - were nylocked with rubber washers to stop splitting etc.
Might have to opt for wider ones.

Was so keen to sell but now not sure.

If Dynojetting makes a difference and still gets me through upcoming MOT then i think i'll be keeping it.

Cheers to Chris at MNR for the chat today and to another Chris (who has recently sold his MNR) with a screen, for talking me through life with a screen again.

Cheers and see you at the weekend. Rescued attachment DSC00046.JPG

Glad to see that you are coming back round. Lovely car by the way.
P.S. IMHO i would'nt go for a windscreen, i had one, the wind buffeting was terrible. Just have a deflector now.

cheers, got a deflector but it doesnt quite do enough for me

if its only a year old, you won't need an mot for another 2 years.

its amazing how far out these things can get though, the tracking on my BMW was 8mm out apparently, but i always wonder how these things can work their way that far out!

i do need an mot as when i took it there pre-sva for an emissions and brake test etc they did a full mot and then actually registered it

so it says on cert that i run out in 2 months time

arghhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
