Speaking as someone whose not keen on anything with more than four legs (unless very small), I think they'd look a lot more appealing if they were reduced to around 1mm thick with the aid of a size 12 boot

How do they taste?

coozer - 16/7/09 at 06:59 AM

Question is... why??

mistergrumpy - 16/7/09 at 08:37 AM

Yep. Why exactly? You can't do anything with them like take them for a walk or rest your feet on them whilst watching telly and they're not going to guard your house while you're away. If you're wanting them just for the shock value you could've just stuck a page from Readers Wives in a fish tank and watch peoples reactions.

The cats fulfil the soft and cuddly pet aspect
The fish tanks are pretty to look at (v proud of my arowana :

(THAT ONES NOT MINE!)

the scorps are nocturnal, helpful as its a bit dull in that room, they make a change from tarantulas I've kept before - fasinating to watch - espesially eating

Nah. I don't quite understand even more David. Cats spend all day outside sh1tting on other peoples lawns then only return for food (usually in exchange for some mangled dead mouse). Fish, okay perhaps nice to look at but there's only so long you can look at a fish swimming 12" left to right and the scorpions only come alive at night time when you like to watch them eat? Get yourself down to the Pizza Hut at dinner time all you can eat, there's some real animals in there and you don't have to get up in the night to watch them. Just pull a chair up to the window.

davidinhull - 16/7/09 at 09:47 AM

how on earth did you become known as mistergrumpy?
stroke a cat it'll cheer you up

(and I've got more than 12"!! )

cool I like insects, wouldn't like to try and pick one up though. How do you tell if its grumpy and just after a fight?

I like cats, especially the way they curl round your foot as you launch them over the garden wall. Bro in law has a 5' tank with one fish in it, he's called the winner. We used to have some like that living in the coalhouse, they didn't cost owt so I let them stay.

This thread has a nasty sting in its tail!

Can you train them to do tricks? Can you get a mini basketball net installed and give them a ball to practice with?

I think ill stick with dogs. Fancied a bearded dragon once but the food was too noisy.

cleowuss - 18/7/09 at 10:45 AM

You won' t be cuddling them will you!
