manifold

I'm looking for a tubular exhaust manifold for the Zetec I'm putting in my Robin Hood. Needs to be a bit cheaper than the £200+vat I've been quoted.
Any ideas where to get one (new or s/h)

[g]Ashley do one for RWD Zetecs in mk2 Escorts that might work. Failing that, someone like GBS or MNR could no doubt help.

Hi FazerBob,

http://www.kitpartsdirect.com/page6.htm

KitPartsDirtect (part of GBS) still have stainless steel manifolds for £145.

I'm not sure of the style, more likely to go straight over the side panel through a hole in the bonnet as its easier to make than lots of bends to get it exit 'through' the side panel..

I Emailed KitPartsDirtect last week, theyare doing the manifold next spring, either made up for £145 or in componet form for £75.

The more emails the faster they could put it into production.

I've just spoken to them on the phone.

The new Zero7 manifolds (pinto ) go straight over the side panal through a cut-out in the bonnet.

The manifolds for the 2B are made to go through the sidepanel.

The Zero7 is narrower, and so the manifold primaries would need to be made a 3 or 4 inches longer to clear the side panel of the 2B..

Easy enough with some short 4" tube stubs the same diameter as the primaries, swagged both ends to make a 'extension section', then just chop the primaries and side on your extension, weld-on or spring together..

surely cheaper than getting one made up..
