I've decided to use polybushes from Ianat Stuart Taylor but I was thinking if rose joints were a better bet at the steering end as theoretically it would give me better feedback. Is that true? I suppose I would have to drill the hole square and not leave it tappered. Would that be ok for SVA?

Where are you planning to use the 'rose' joint?

yep that's what I meant.
but keeping the usuall polybush on the wishbones

Cannot see it being a problem for the SVA, but check the amount of articulation in the Rose joint, they dont all have the the same amount of clearance and may bind in Bump or drop in some cases
It is possible to get a "hi angle" version to overcome this problem, doubt its worth the hassle if u only intend to use them at the end of the rack because you wont have the benefit of the rest of the supension setup using them.
