Can anyone tell me what this is? It's at one end of the front to rear brake pipe that came as part of my Indy kit.

Brake light switch screwed into a 3 way brake union? Or am I missing the point?
Chris
no you didn't miss the point, I thought that's what it was but wasn't sure. Is this supposed to go at the front or back of the car?
I would put it in the line to the rear brake circuit as the pressure to rear is lower and the wiring is nearer. Just my opinion.
yours, Pete.
Yes pete is right thats where mime is

Pressure activated brake light switch, our is located about 150mm from master cylinder heading towards the prop tunnel. No long pipes or wires
depending on where fuse/distribution box is...
On the MK brake line kit, it was screwed into the piece of brake line labelled as the rear, so thats where we are going to put it, just past the MC,
which will be nearest most of the wiring.
Just look and i havent got any pics of the rear brake lines.
I was told by the guy that services my volkswagen that it should not matter where you put the switch in the braking system, because it doesn't
affect the performance of the line it is in anyway.
Don't know if this is correct but mine is in one of the front brake lines. It was IMHO easier to access there than at the rear of the car.
Where can I get a brake bias valve from and how much do they cost? Would I be better off getting a second hand one? If so, what car do i look for to get it from?
You can get a wilwood one for about £70 or you can use one off a Fiat Uno, about £5 from the scrappers.
Gordon
I picked up a wilwood one for £20, ill email the bloke and see if he has got one left, as he had two. I will U2U you when i know.
Yeah that'd be great Chris, cheers
Pete
