I need to get some M12 top hats with a M10 or M8 hole in the middle.
Its for my protech shocks. A mate from uni is doing damper testing on the damper dyno and said he can test my shocks if I want, but the biggest bolts
hole they use is 10mm.
Thought it would be useful to know how the damper settings effect the bump and rebound.
Will post up the displacement and velocity graphs when its been done.
What about some tube inside to create a sleeve?
Steve.
M12 bolt drilled and tapped M8?
Sorry should have said, doesnt need to be tapped, just 10mm or 8mm ID.
Large M10/M8 washer inside?
Would the ones protech supply with rosejointed dampers do? - see below

.............further to the question, are they really 12mm holes or are they 1/2"?
If they are 1/2" you can borrow a handful from me but I would want them back later as I get peed off machining the flipping things!
I couldnt find any on protechs website, but will send them a mail.
If I have no luck, will let you know Nat. Might have to borrow some please!
It turns out that the clevis on the damper rig is 2mm too small to fit the shocks anyway!
Turns out the hole was 12mm, we came up with something to fit, but then when we got there we realised it was a waste of time anyway!
Wonder if protech have any data?
