Brake dampening (again)
gjn200 - 23/12/02 at 06:36 PM

Just found this
http://www.73-87.com/garage/lbs.htm
and was thinking of useing it with a fiesta screw in type pressure reducing v/v.

They sell it in demon tweeks but the ports are 1/8 npt???? Where can you get them fittings from and will it work with 3/16 pipe?
Any ideas peeps?

Graham

Syd B, Conrod and myself were chatting about Uno/Mini bias valves on another thread on this forum a few days ago. I put a drawing of the Mini bias valve conversion in my photo album here. I have further written instructions if anyone requires them.
It's simplicity itself.
One more sleep!

It's £88.72 +Vat. Can't see there being an SVA problem as it does the same as the sierra thing, and is'nt adjustable.

I have been looking for a mini valve for ages, all my local scrapies don't even have any minis !!!, the mini valve apparently costs £109 new ... yikes

So, presumably the uno valve setup like Bobs works the same way as the mini version ?

where abouts on an Uno is the said valve located ?

thanks

Reduction valve is at the back on FIATs near axle me thinks.
Look in for sale section for a good deal on these from conrodkid, about a third of the price FIAT dealers want.

i must have missed something in the translation...i thought the original post was about a gadget that reduces the risk of rear wheel lock up by delaying initial pressure...This uno/ mini idea (although a bloody good adaptation) is all about brake bias, something a whole lot different?
Isn't the original gadget used by yankee stock cars because they are not allowed bias valves?
Just a thought, i guess someone will put me right..

Yep your right , Hence " a fiesta v/v and a lbs" but I now think the fiesta v/v is a type of lbs..... Still looking into that.

Just seen a Fiesta at my mates garage. They have rear brake bias things screwed directly onto the master cylinder. Small, light and neat. Although they are not adjustable, just thought I'd let you know.
