Morning all
How have you all got round SVA proofing the top and bottom of the damper especially the bottom with the nice sharp cut outs for a C spanner?
I tried wrapping it in foam last night and don't think it'll last two seconds.
Any info on what materials you've used and photos appreciated.
Thanks
Nigel
When I bought my indy it had black sparky tape on top of a piece of rubber on them

I used some 3mm thick rubberised neoperene...cable tied inplace....that passed..
I did buy some CV boots, but they just looked rubbish.... Worth a try though if you have more space than me
I didn't as you can see here;

I used an indicator bar.... it SVa proofed the shockers and everything else on the suspension, and no trim round the cycle wings needed....
I just put some nut covers on to tidy the thing up....

I got some self-adhesive foam trim and cut a slither and stuck it around the collar. Cable tie on top of that.
Looks rubbish but passed (and hasn't fallen off yet after 1200 miles.... unfortunately)....
Apparently old Radio controlled car tires (1/10 scale) work..

Bike innertube glued round [to itself, not the shock].
Passed fine.

I failed on this because I didn't cover them so leaving them uncovered is a risk.
I thought of the the buggy tyre option but buying them didn't seem "locost" so I used some rubber "D" strip that I had
kicking around the garage (sort of stuff that is used for the gunwhales of a plastic canal boat) held on with a zip tie through the centre.
Inner tube was my second option but again I would have had to buy some or sacrifice my lads bike.

From your avatar it seemed to fall off after the test... hope you picked it up off the road

I used a Large Steering rack rubber boots.
I used a lot of bycycle inner tube and cable ties.
Most of its still there 3 years later.
I took took the shox off, taped round the spring collar then pulled some bike intertube over the top, made a nice neat finnish.
Cheers
