i know you can;t use tywraps to fix the xopper brake lines to the axle, but has anyone use a steel ties(like a tywrap but used to hold ally laggin
onto pipes)/???
cheers

I welded some steel screws to the axle tube by their head, so the treaded bit stuck upwards. I then used rubber-covered P-clips and nuts/washers.

My Rover SD1 came from the factory with the steel wraps holding the pipes to the axle.
I sleeved the pipes with a piece of rubber hose (fuel hose, I think), then put a honking great jubilee clip round the whole lot including the axle - 4
clips in total: 2 each side.
I am just remaking the boot at the moment, so the clips are easily accessible. No problem with them working loose so far (at 1500 miles)
Jubilee clips for me too!!!
A bit over kill, but get the job done....
OK,
so i think i'll try the steel wraps first, at least i can change to jubilee's if i need to!!.
cheers
