SVA and filer Caps,
The Baron - 18/3/06 at 06:16 PM

Can any you nice kit car fellows, please advise me of the evil SVA mans requirements when it comes to Filler caps, I am tempted to get one of those nice aero style ones, but as they are such a price, I don’t want to get the wrong thing and fail the SVA on it!

Cheers in advance,

The Baron.

Secure and sealed are the key words I believe,
Locking is not a requirement.

...though apparently some SVA inspectors interpret "secure" as meaning "lockable"

I used the Mac1 supplied Fiam filler. Very good and passed no problem.

Also take care over the flexi hose used. Again i got this from Mac1 and they supplied letter to warrant it for petrol use.

If you can get a vented cap then do so - it saves having to fit a separate vent somewhere else.
