Probably been asked before but:

When you mount the sierra M/C, the M/C is parallel to the ground and the resevoir is canted back - does this end up being a problem?

If so, is there an after market item that would fit (I've seen some, but they seem to have angled spouts on them, which would end up in the same scenario).

Sorry if it's been done to death before

They are all like that, and its not an issue as far as i am aware

How've you managed that - an after marker resevoir?

If it was a problem you would not be able to drive uphill The fluid level is all that matters. I put the brackets on my car so the fluid line is level when the car is parked level

Top mount pedals.

That's quite a mechanism!

I don't have that luxury as I'm building an Indy, which has everything pre-drilled, though maybe a block of ali shaped to a wedge like form could work.

Probably not worth the effort though?

Dittto my reservoir is level and m/c is canted.



Master Cylinder

I have changed the master cylinder from a sierra servo assit one to a none servo Eccy Mk II but kept the Sierra reservoir as the eccy one was flat. Holes matched up perfectly.

So if you want a flat one hunt down a Mk II Eccy. You might need the Sierra top though as the Eccy one did not have a level switch in it.

The sierra item is very similar, apart from the front brake pipes comes from the end of the M/C rather than the side.

I'd been starting to de-grease the old M/C and was about to buy a new piston/seal kit when I found a new sierra one on Ebay for £18 - job done!

Our M/C is level and the reservoir is at an angle. It's not a problem and it rarely needs to be topped up. If you're not happy though, you can always mount the reservoir remotely but just think of all that extra weight with the rubber pipes

That's my philosophy on everything to do with my car - if it's not the simplest solution, it's just too much weight!

I'll just give the resy a good soak in degreaser for a few days (really sludged up inside) and then use that.

Don't put anything in it but brake fluid, the seals don't resist much else especially petrochemical based stuff, it turns them to mush.
