Fitting filter back plate to 05 R1

Has anyone fitted one to an 05?, as there doesn't seem that much room between fuel rail and servo. also i'm gona need the trumpets, is it just a case of fixing the backplate between the intake and trumpets?

I'm just tryin to sort this out on mine at the minute, i did want to use the whole standard airbox but it sticks WAY up above the bonnet line.
The space between the servo and fuel rail is only 90mm so a filter+baseblate with a width of only 90mm would be reqd which i don' think is available, i rang TTS and they don't do anything off the shelf...
What i think would be needed is something that would space the baseplate off the throttle bodies to clear the servo (which is the highest part, approx 35mm) for this i think i'm going to use the lower half of the airbox chopped in half (its already basically moulded in two parts so its only a small cross section that needs cutting through). You will be then left with something that will clear the servo and has some nice captive nuts in the top to bolt the baseplate to and still use the original trumpets, the only problem is that it will lift the baseplate up 80mm from the throttle bodies when it only needs 35mm, i've got a couple of ideas of how to reduce the height but still undecided as of yet.
Its pretty hard to describe unless you've got a standard airbox lower half in front of you, but it should fit fine, its just it'll take a little more work to get it to look neat.

I have a similar problem! I don't have the servo which makes it slightly easier but the fuel rail is a problem. I have Graves velocity stacks and I can't work out how to do it! I may end up just folding and rivetting some aluminium to make a box, or make it out of cardboard and get it done in carbon fibre.

Yeh fabricating one is my next option if the one above doesn't work out as planned.
I'd love to use the standard airbox but just can't see a way of making it fit? Ian gray (stm) told me to turn the whole throttle body assy round so that the air box would point down rather than up, simple enough, but where the injector sits in the tb is scalloped out and this is matched in the head so turning the tb assy round 180 degrees will create a mis match where the injectors sit and have a negative effect on performance surely...?

Mine needs to pick up form the cold air intake so I have no chance of using the original!

Kev @ Road Runner Racing utilises the bottom half of the airbox, if you cut it just above the trumpets you can then use them to hold it all together, he then bond's the ali back plate to the cut airbox, the finished job looks great.

or you could chop the air box up take 2" out of the hight turn it through 180 degrees the put it back together the use the stander filter
