Stupid question I know, (and I'm good at them). How does this work, or is it a very long chain?

This one?
Isn't that a shaft drive FJR1300 motor? Hence no chain used on the bike either...
Chris.
Its probably from a shaft drive bike that has a bevel gear on the end of the gearbox output shaft that turns the drive through 90 degrees.
Could he be running a chain type diff at the front bolted to a standard prop and diff at the back.
Shaft driven FJR1300 as Chris stated. Photograph courtesy of Robertwa;

Cheers guys. I said it was silly. Thought I could just buy a 20 foot long chain for the bird lump.
