get a t-piece and join them together

soggy 3 - 2/10/06 at 02:45 PM

Is that a guess or an answer?

The two hoses shown look like the hoses which connect to the cooling system for the carb heating. What make are your carbs and I'll have a look for some info.
There is a pic in my archive of mikuni's with the fuel inlet marked.

That's the way I've done my blackbird ones, so I guess that's an answer.

I thought they were the flow and return for the carb de-icing circuit. Isn't that the fuel inlet behind the tickover adjustment screw?

Got to agree with Coose on this one, carb warmers. Stops your carbs icing up on cold mornings. On the ZZR one end attaches to the water rail as it exits the block, but before the thermostat, and the other returns to the water pipe as it comes back from the rad to the water pump.

Shouldn't think it neccessary on a 7 with under bonnet temps being higher than on a bike / less winter running, but I may be wrong.

Those are the de-icing water pipes. Bin them.

Just pull the hoses off and leave them! You won't get water in there unless you put it there!

G.Man - 3/10/06 at 07:46 AM

Yes those pipes are DEFINITELY the carb warmers..

They aim to prevent carb icing on cold humid days, but they dont really work that well..

If you plan to drive the car on cold misty days then you can connect them to your cooling system, but i wouldnt bother...

Just remove them
