Hi All
After what feels like months of deliberation, I've just bought a single seater for my Blackbird engine and Powertec diff.
The car (which I don't own yet!) is a Formula Ford 2000 rolling chassis with a Hewland gearbox. THe one complication is that the rear suspension
hangs off the gearbox, which I won't be using. This will be a relatively simple fabrication job.
Watch this space!

is it a mk9 box? that should fetch £1200ish if in good nick iirc..
presumably its the standard 4 speeder?
Ned.
Hi Ned
I think it's the MK9 but I haven't seen the car yet so can't tell for sure!
It will be up for sale once I've got the rear suspension all sorted.

Welcome to madness.
I to am single seater BEC building based on an old formula ford chassis.
Hi Mate
Any pictures of the BEC FF?
Wyn
Have not had chance to do alot in the last few months (detached my bicep so that tends to get in the way a bit.
That's certainly a challenge!
What's the chassis?
Do you have all the bits?
What engine / diff?
Regards
Wyn
There has been a lot of debate about the chassis but no conclusive proof so we just know it is a FF.
I have all the bits but some will be renewed to make sure they are 100%
I will be running a Firestorm 1000 twin engine to a supra LSD chain drive.
Best of luck mate!
What are you hoping to run it in?
will be running in the northern sprint championship
I'm planning on continuing in the Welsh Spring & Hillclimb championship - had a good season this year with a few trophies and the class win
so I fancied a change for next season!
I'll have to pull my finger out to get ready for the first event in May (Ireland!).
Here's a picture of it a couple of years ago before someone decided it would look better in grey / silver!
