gearstick surround
jabbahutt - 8/5/07 at 07:46 AM

time again to pick your brains gents. I hunted around Stoneleigh for what seemed like an age with a tape measure looking very weird trying to find a gearstick surround.

Plenty to choose from but non where small enough to fit between the aluminium extrusion which will run along the top edges of the tunnel as supplied by MK

If you'd be kind enough to post pics/links to photos of your gearstick surrounds with any details and where you bought them I'd be grateful.

Im after one like a rectangle but with one of the short sides narrower in width, similar to the front of the top of the tunnel but not so severe in angle if that makes sense

thanks for the help
Nigel

Make one from flat ali sheet? Cut, drill, counter sink holes, clearfly file edges, fine file, course paper, fine paper, scotch bright, polish...

It will then fit perfectly and cost next to nothing..

I made mine from thick ali sheet and some leather. Stuck 'em down using sticky backed 'velcro'.

yep that was me on Sunday stood there like a right fool waving a tape around much to the amusement of my two mates who strangely decided to stand at least 20 feet from me every time the measure came out to play
