MK in motorsport 2006
skydivepaul - 28/12/05 at 11:14 PM

Anyone competing in their MK in 2006, either race, hillclimb, sprint or autotest?
i am definately going hillclimb / sprinting next year and I think I've decided on the auto66 Yorkshire hillclimb and sprint championship. Has anyone on here competed in any Auto66 event and any comments.
Harewood hillclimb is only 25 minutes from me so that would seem like the obvious choice (and I know the track fairly well) for me but i want a bit of variety of venues plus the auto66 championship did a couple of rounds at Harewood last year so I am hoping they will do the same this year.
If anyone has any better ideas or can persuade me otherwise I am open to offers.
Cheers
Paul

cheers mark,
I think i remember your car from this year, i did a couple of rounds at harewood this year in my fiasco XR2 (orange with a big picture of my villa on the front) my paddock place was opposite the kits.
Are you one of those posh racers who had a gazebo tent thing over your car????

Quite fancy one myself for next year.
I am going to do a few rounds at harewood but probably not the full championship as they dont have a BEC category yet so you get lumped with the sports libre cars

Cheers
Paul

Sports libre cars are basically anything else they cant categorise, you can have V12 modified e type jags on slicks

Some of them aren't that quick though - take a look through some of the results from last year on www.harewoodhill.co.uk and compare the sports libre cars with some of the bike engined caterhams (see Robert Kenrick in particular) to see where a bec can get to.

The taking part is the fun - although winning helps too

I will be running a hybrid GT1 in the 750mc RGB series, not many rounds though as its nearly all long distance for us on the 2006 fixture list, may try a blast up the odd hill.
