Just got back from the Westy meet, where did you go, did you come in the pub. Anyway I'll see you tomorrow about 7.30-8pm What time is the meet?

Also if anyone is going to Harrogate Sunday from the bolton area, a few westy guys are going in convoy, so feel free to tag along, leaving Bolton around 7:45-8am

Well I'm not working today, so I'm picking up a new battery and hopefully it'll be charged in time for tonight so I'll do my best to come along.
If it is the rectifier at least they'll be someone there to give me a push!!

The battery req's filling and 'servicing' (full 12 hr trickle charge) and my mate (a bike dealer) won't let me have it until he's done it properly.
So I'll have to risk it with the dodgy battery.

why not all my weather gear (Water proof pants I use when jet washing the flags) and bike jacket are still in the car from last night...and didn't need them...
Also put a brolly in, apparently if you prepare for rain it wont!!

I wouldn't mind coming along, but I'll be in a tin top.

As you can see, I'm not quite on the road yet, but I wouldn't mind taking some pictures of peoples braking and stearing systems which I'm moving on to next.

Thanks for the offer, but I'm not sure whether I'll be heading up there straight from work or home so I'll have to pass up the opportunity.

I wouldn't mind a lift one day as I'm ashamed to say that I've only ever sat in a stationary 7.

It's the building of the thing that really appeals to me. Driving the finished article was never of great concern so I even passed up on MK's offer of a drive!

Mounting the engine on the front drivers wheel hub is a new one too...

Well according to my Haynes manual, my rectifier's bust, it's not giving any of the resistances it should.
So I'll either risk it or come in the tin top

I'm at the mother-in-law's for tea then gonna nip home for the Indy. As long as the fan's not on for too long there should be enough juice in the battery to grt me there, then maybe a push start to get home.

Twas a nice evening, managed to get home OK although I couldn't see a thing thro' my black visor.
Fitted the new Battery and rectifier this morning and things seem to be back to normal
