MK - Pinto Engine Mounts

Trying to help a Mate out who has a Pinto Powered MK

He needs some Harder Engine mounts because the Engine is 'moving' too much and i wondered what other owners did to stop this ?
Also where they got their uprated engine mounts/Material from ?

Thanks
Perksy

I have seen pinto users add an additional engine mounting from the chassis top rail to control the roll of the engine.

I used LR mounts, in a book chassis, but my pinto has less than a total of 5mm movement

If you can keep you head, whilst all others around you are losing theirs, you are not fully aware of the situation

Land rover mounts are what you need, same thickness but much much stiffer than the silly Fiesta gearbox mounts MK supply. With the pinto on the MK mounts I could grab the rocker and shake the engine around easily, with the LR mounts it was nice and firm.

eg LR mounts

You can get them a fair bit cheaper than that though.

Better solution of course would be if MK designed the mounts properly and didn't have the two rubbers in the same plane.
