zetec shortened sump now done. Yeay!

hi all, at last i have now completed my shortened sump on the zetec and i'm well happy with the finished thing, thanks to all the people that gave me pics and tips.

Sump

Looks fab but will oil get into the baffle box quick enough.

the sump is TIG and the baffles on the windage tray are MIG.
the pickup pipe and the baffles are 5-6mm clear of the bottom of the sump so there should be no problems getting enough oil to the pipe. A mate of mine is running a 2litre zetec with a shortened sump and no baffling at all and had no issues for the last 4 years or so.
i guess only time will tell!
