Vauxhall XE oil breather

Hello,

I have done the modification to the oil catch tray in the rocker cover and blocked the smaller of the two outlet pipes. What I would like to know is if I can get away with a little filter as shown in the attached photo or should I really go for the catch tank? Rescued attachment 2057a.jpg

catch tank mate, on some hard corners it will chuck some oil, best to have the tank there ready for it. A beer can etc will do the trick, you just need something to take 250ml or so
