turbo engine
who on here runs a turbo engine. do you have any probs with cooling because of the rad filling the front hole. because ive got an rs turbo and iam
thinking of useing thr engine out of it its got an oil leak on the oilcooler plate but i could fix it when i take the engine out the rest of the cars
rusting away but the engines runs fine and boost well and i had it dyno at 185bhp about a year ago do you think this engine will be any good or i was
thinking sell it and get a bike engine for the paddle shift

Mr Hicost has got a turbo in his little car, I think he runs the mother of all management systems to keep it under control.
It was hovering around the 400 BHP mark last I heard.

graememk what engine you got. an rs turbo.if so what gearbox do you use a type 9 or mt75 are they a stright fit
mines chiped so i was thinking just use what i got to keep costs down

i was going to buy a 2l 220 engine from the scrapyard but some one hit the back of my rs so its being wroteoff. and its droping apart anyway so i
thoght i might aswell use it. i get a lot of torque steer in it as it is so it should be fast in a kitcar

Strange place to put the intercooler!!! With the cavernous 7esque nose you would have thought the scuttle would be the last choice even with a bonnet
bulge... Oh well, 400Bhp still sounds good!!!!

Oh, that layout is long gone now.
It's had a new chassis since then!
It's watercooled now anyway.

heres a pic of my engine but i dont no if it will all fit or i might have to extend the pipes for the fuel metering unit to mount some where else its
like a big brick lol
