Qusetion about cams....

Are the cams interchangable between phase 1,2 and 3 Zetecs.

There are some black top Zetec 2.0L cams on wbay i fancy dropping in my 1.8 for a little extra, GOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!

Or do i have to have cams from a phase one zetec, the same as my 1.8??

Im fairly sure the black tops wont go in the silver tops. Not sure about the phase 1 and 2 silver tops though.

U want 2 litre silver top if u want to up your 1.8 to 130.

Agree blacktop and silvertop cams not interchangable but then I would say that as I happen to have a pair of 2L silvertop cams and numbered hydraulic buckets in the garage. In good nick. Just fitted piper 285's.
I would have to look on ebay to find out a price.

Silvertops are hydraulic followers, blacktops are solid followers so different cams. Not too sure if the 130 cams make much difference without the relevant ecu for suitable ignition timing, on the other hand they may work fine, it doesn't cost much tro find out.
