supercharger zetec igntion map megasquirt help
well after plumbing in the charger i am now stuck on the igntion timing. hope somebody more experienced can offer some tips.
how does this igntion map look for a standard 2.0l zetec with supercharger. I am happyish to sort the fuelling but I struggle to know whats a good
map for ignition.
I have retarded the igntion as boost increases over my N/A setup, roughly 1 degree per psi. How do you set ignition to its optimum? do you need a
knock sensor to set igntion, EGT sensor?
Any thoughts and tips on my map would be greatly appreciated.

I would keep making small adjustments and test driving. If you get knocking back off a little.
You probably want full advance by about 3500 - 4000 to get the best power.
Are you a Mac user or a retard?

I've limited experience with boosted induction but I would tend to agree with Andy.
I would expect to see the advance "all in" by about 3500 - 4000 rpm. if the same rules apply as for NA induction.
AFAIK there is little point in increasing advance past these figures but as I say I don't have much experience with boosted engines.
You're probably better to ask this type of question on the MS forums to be honest.
Experience is what you get when you don't get what you want!!!
