Disected R1 and Yoshi Cans Analysis

Thought I'd perform a minor operation on the above so that:

1) I can take the ends to be modified to have a 2" id link pipe added.

2) For analysis from folk on here that know stuff.

Standard normal re-packable cans seem to have one perforated tube straight through the middle of them and a bit of wadding around this pipe.

My Yoshi one has some engineered perforated tubes inside each other and a fair bit of wadding.

My R1 can has what looks like two chambers and you can't see right through them so the pipes must be offset. There is also a perforated outer tube inside the can and wadding between the outer wall and this oerforated tube.

Any thoughts on flow, volume etc.

And then there's my Supertrapp to throw into the equation thats the same sort of thing as a normal can with one central perforated tube, a bit of wadding and then the discs on the end.

Supertrapp silencers are awful things, a cork is probably marginally less restrictive and certainly better at silencing

Great thread Pat.

Did your R1 exhaust have a cat in it?

Nope, but I have a little Cat - see my other post.

Was gonna put it in the end of the R1 can as it will fit in the chamber, but I think the R1 can is so well tuned, I don't want to upset it.
