zetec engine number - whcih is it?
of the following numbers on the block, which is the engine number? Zetec 2.0 l engine, supposedly 1993.
PA66-GFM38.
18A93
08S1A
938M-6090-CG
(just out of interest, what are the other numbers).

Number should be stamped here as far as I know.

thanks; geeting closer;
but I thought "Ford engine numbers take the form of 2 letters followed by 5 numbers" so that don't look right.
and the other numebrs? one of them identifies the vehicle, capacity etc: which one is it anybody?

There is a groove across the number flat. Above it appears letters, in this case NGA showing original configuration. Below is engine number, two
letters and five numbers.

Yep had a look at mine.
As you say two letters followed by five numbers, a gap then three letters.
Should be ware shown.
I did have an orion that had had a replacement new engine at some time in its life and it never had the engine number on it ? .It had all the other
numbers. But not good for sva.
Capacity. thats a big 16, 18, 20 cast into the block.
