I have one of Paul 907's stainless silencers that I won't be able to use as it isn't big enough for my tuned 2ltr xe if you're interested..

Thanks for the offer Ned, Ive looked at a long thread regarding those exhausts & they look great but sadly they well above what I'm wanting to pay at the moment, my plan is to bodge up a cheap exhaust & once I'm through the sva them spend some more, thanks again

How much was that Mark?, and I suppose you made the guard yourself

The silencer was free, in the factory, the engines are filled with oil by a CNC oiler, but someone entered the wrong data and 1100 cars were overfilled. It wasn't detected until the new owners drove away in plumes of smoke, VW replaced the entire exhaust system inc cat under warranty. The old systems were variously disposed of.......

I did make the guard myself, for SVA only (hence the safety colour), but the amount of times I have touched it getting in and out, it is going to stay, but will be painted Trophy blue with the next ZR/T we get in. The slight smear on the silencer is a bit of the MOT testers leg!
